Location: Miami, FL (office is in the Coconut Grove area) - role will require local travel to project / construction sites.
Title: General Superintendent
Salary: $120k - $150k base, depending on experience, plus bonus (discretionary, but also tied to finishing projects ahead of schedule as that saves the co. significant money, etc.)
The co. does provide full car allowance / gas / mileage reimbursement.

Role and Responsibilities
- MUST be bilingual Spanish
- A demonstrated ability to read, understand and interpret plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
- Prepare pour sequencing, be part of the design process of shop drawings for rebar, PT Cables and shoring. Identify placing boom location and staging area plan.
- Coordinate with project executives to discuss design criteria for their understanding.
- Direct supervision of building progress in means and methods.
- Manages Superintendents and provides the vision for project planning, coordination, sequencing and site utilization.
- Develops the overall construction plan for the Project in conjunction with the Project Executives.
- Reports any problems/issues promptly to the Project Executives to facilitate the most cost-effective solutions.
- Provides guidance and overview of staff Superintendent, look ahead scheduling and planning. Reviews and assists staff with developing planning and makes certain plan is communicated throughout the project team.
- Identifies potential budget problems and works with team to develop contingency plans and other measures to control or successfully manage.
- An ability to interact professionally with all parties that are associated with the project and effectively communicate.
- Provide guidance to Assistant and or Project Manager for all needed shoring, rebar, PT cables and or any other big-ticket items needed to perform near future works.
- Ensuring that the safety program are enforced on the project site at all times. Maintain safety and cleanliness throughout the project.
- Discuss remedial action, if needed, with Assistant and or Project Manager to supplement all subcontracted work. Guarantee timely delivery of scope of work.
- Timely submission of transmittal receipts, card receipts and tickets to accounting.
- Assist Project Manager in preparing takeoff’s, if needed.
- The timely notification to Assistant and or Project Manager of all changes in drawings, problems/conflicts with design, etc.
- Oversee quality standards on site, including not limited to quality control of works subcontracted.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Experience: 10+ years of construction-related experience.
- Education: BS in Engineering, or Other Construction Related Degree preferred (not required)
- Computer Skills Preferred: Word, Excel, Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Outlook, Textura.
- OSHA 30-hour construction certification. preferred, not required
Preferred Skills
- Proficient in quantity take-offs.
- General understanding of current building construction systems means and methods.
- Familiarity with current building codes.
- Familiarity with construction safety requirements.
- Familiarity with construction contracts.
- Knowledge of AIA Contract documents, cost accounting, best practices, and project management law.
