We are seeking a highly skilled AWS Cloud Security Architect Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in designing, implementing, and maintaining secure cloud infrastructure and applications specifically within the Amazon Web Services (AWS) ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and oversee AWS-specific cloud security strategies and architectures in support of large migration process and ongoing operations aligned with SOC 2 requirements
- Assess and mitigate security risks in AWS environments
- Design and implement AWS security controls, services, and best practices
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure ongoing SOC 2 compliance
- Collaborate with system architects and development teams to ensure secure AWS cloud practices
- Stay current with emerging AWS security features, threats, and technologies
- Conduct security audits and penetration testing on AWS infrastructure
- Develop and maintain AWS-focused security policies and procedures
- Support annual SOC2 Type 1 and 2 audit cycles
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in AWS cloud security architecture
- Strong understanding of SOC 2 Trust Services Criteria (Security, Availability, Processing Integrity, Confidentiality, and Privacy)
- Deep expertise in AWS security services (e.g., IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, Security Hub)
- Experience with security frameworks and compliance standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001)
- Proficiency in scripting languages and AWS-native technologies
- AWS Certified Security Specialty certification required
- Additional relevant certifications (e.g., CCSP, CISSP) preferred
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Experience in managing security for large-scale cloud migration projects

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position. The pay range for this position is: $102,000 - $138,000.
