Entertainment Paralegal
Prestigious talent entertainment law firm seeks experienced full-time Entertainment Paralegal. The ideal candidate is able to draft, review and negotiate a large variety of contracts with minimal supervision. Candidates must exercise good judgment while maintaining strict confidentiality on high profile matters.
Environment is fast-paced with a friendly and team-oriented culture. This is a great opportunity to be involved with deals made in the film and television industries. Candidates must be detail-oriented, professional, self-motivated, proactive and conscientious. Excellent drafting and organizational skills are a must.
Location: Century City, CA. A minimum of 3 days a week in the office (generally, Tuesday-Thursday).
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Draft and comment on talent and employment agreements, development agreements and various production forms and documents
- Negotiate agreements with third parties
- Provide other substantive legal support across a variety of projects
- Proofread and edit documents (including redlining) and correspondence

QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
Candidate should have a minimum of 7 years of on point experience in the entertainment industry. Prior entertainment law firm strongly preferred, with studio experience being optional. Bachelor’s degree required.
Skills & Abilities
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines and coordinate shifting priorities between various clients and attorneys
- Strong understanding of contracts with the ability to integrate business issues into contracts
- Fast learner with ability to multi-task in a results-oriented environment
- Excellent prioritization and analytical skills with the ability to exercise appropriate judgment in executing tasks with minimal supervision
- Exceptional communication skills in both verbal and written form, including the ability to communicate professionally with various levels of personnel and clients (including celebrities) with diplomacy and discretion, while at all times maintaining firm and client confidentiality
- Team player mentality
- Must possess enthusiasm, flexibility and creativity and be willing to assume challenges and increased responsibility
- Computer proficiency with MS Word, Outlook and iManage
The pay range for this position is $60.10 - $84.13 per hour (this equates to approximately $125,000-$175,000 per year if you work your regular work schedule), depending on experience. We offer an excellent benefit package, including a platinum health insurance plan, profit sharing plan, and paid parking. In addition to vacation and sick days, the firm is also closed for the last two weeks of the year.
