Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized New Hire Onboarding Specialist to facilitate the seamless integration of new employees and healthcare providers into our practice. In this role, you will manage the onboarding process, including collecting and completing essential HR, credentialing, compliance, and provider enrollment documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for continuous compliance upkeep, ensuring that all provider licenses and credentialing remain current and in line with regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Document Management: Collect, review, process and maintain all required onboarding documentation for new providers, including HR, credentialing, compliance, and enrollment paperwork.
- Credentialing and Compliance: Verify and maintain credentials and qualifications of new employees and healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with regulatory and industry standards.
- Provider Enrollment: Coordinate and submit enrollment applications with local, state, and federal agencies, licensing boards, and insurance providers.
- Continuous Compliance Upkeep: Monitor expiration dates for licenses, certifications, and credentialing documents to ensure all provider credentials are up-to-date.
- Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of onboarding activities, tracking status and compliance requirements.
- Communication: Act as the liaison between new providers, internal teams, and external agencies to facilitate a smooth onboarding experience and continuous compliance.
- Process Improvement: Assist in identifying and implementing enhancements to the onboarding and credentialing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Regulatory Updates: Stay informed of changes in credentialing laws, standards, and best practices to ensure ongoing compliance.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in healthcare credentialing and provider onboarding.
- Strong knowledge of credentialing processes, regulatory compliance standards, and healthcare enrollment procedures.
- Familiarity with federal and state agencies including but not limited to CDS, DEA, PECOS, CAQH, OIG, NPDB, AMA, and NPPES.
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with credentialing software, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and similar tools.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across teams.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently or in a remote setting.
Preferred
- Experience with healthcare staffing or provider onboarding within a multidisciplinary medical practice.
- Familiarity with regulatory bodies, including AAAHC
