Position Overview:
Aegis has partnered with a large manufacturing firm in the Indy area who is seeking a highly skilled Senior Maintenance Manager to oversee and lead their maintenance department in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our manufacturing equipment while leading a team of maintenance professionals. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of maintenance technicians and staff.
- Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement maintenance strategies that align with production goals and objectives.
- Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime.
- Manage the maintenance budget, including forecasting costs, controlling expenses, and optimizing resource allocation.
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
- Ensure all manufacturing equipment is maintained in optimal condition to meet production demands.
- Analyze equipment performance and implement solutions to enhance reliability and lifespan.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.
- Develop and enforce maintenance safety protocols and best practices.
- Work closely with production, engineering, and quality assurance teams to coordinate maintenance activities and support production schedules.
- Collaborate on equipment upgrades and process improvements.
- Utilize maintenance management software to track performance metrics, work orders, and equipment history.
- Generate reports and present findings to senior management.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
- 7+ years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
- Proven experience in developing and implementing maintenance strategies.
- Excellent leadership and team-building skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in maintenance management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement methodologies is a plus.
