MSR Asset Vehicle (MAV) is seeking a Financial Analyst to join its investments team in Atlanta, GA.
MAV is a specialized investment vehicle focused on investing in and servicing Mortgage Servicing Rights ("MSR") with an asset base of $700 + Mn. The company was established in 2021 and is sponsored by Oaktree Capital Management.
The role provides an opportunity to work with a leading investment team in the mortgage domain. The ideal candidate will be a recent graduate with strong financial modeling skills and 1-3 years of relevant work experience who is looking to pursue a career in investment management.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and managing data analytics tools/repositories tracking sector performance
- Interpret financial data to recognize changing trends, patterns, and their meaning related to key performance indicators.
- Assisting in evaluating and documenting prospective investment opportunities
- Assisting in general fund management activities
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate will exhibit the following characteristics
- Undergraduate/Graduate degree with a specialization in Finance, Economics, Data Processing/Analytics
- Strong financial modeling skills and understanding of corporate finance
- Proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python
- Superior analytical skills and exceptional communication skills
