Chaffe McCall, LLP seeks an experienced litigation associate to join our dynamic and growing Insurance Practice group in Houston, Texas.
The ideal candidate is well-versed in basic civil litigation, including: drafting answers, propounding and responding to discovery, basic motion practice, and deposing witnesses. This area of law enables practitioners to further develop their litigation skills while representing sophisticated and well-established national insurance companies. The position involves working independently as well as collaboratively with other practice group lawyers. Responsibilities expected include:
- Evaluating complex claims
- Preparing client reports
- Drafting pleadings
- Attending hearings
- Formulating legal strategy
- Conducting legal research
- Managing discovery and document production
- Attend and take depositions
- Working on all aspects of pretrial to trial
