As part of Mellow Mushroom’s Marketing team, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in crafting strategic marketing plans, developing go-to-market strategies, and driving both top-line and bottom-line sales growth via menu integration and new product launches. You will manage the menu marketing calendar from development through testing and steward cross functional teams through the process including unit level execution.
Responsibilities
- Work with the VP Brand Development to define and refine short and long-term menu strategies in order to meet brand and business objectives
- Lead strategic menu development including product recommendations, marketing strategies, and secure key stakeholder alignment on menu management initiatives including tests, deletions, and national product launches.
- Partner with the Analytics team to gather information to understand current customer and growth target needs, market trends, competitive landscape, product testing results, and utilize this information to develop recommendations based on prioritized areas of focus
- Analyze ongoing performance of the menu across channels (at the restaurant and in digital channels) to identify opportunities to optimize
- Partner with the Culinary Ideation team to develop the innovation pipeline and commercialize new initiatives, including cross-functional team members from Operations, Analytics, Supply Chain, Training, Insights, and Marketing.
- Evaluate test, launch product, and category results and develop recommendations on the path forward for alignment across brand leadership and franchisees.
Education and Experience Qualifications
- 4-year degree required
- At least 4+ years working in brand strategy or category management

- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, and creative problem-solving skills.
- Data-driven thinking with innate curiosity and a growth mindset
- Understanding of how to take products or programs through a commercialization process
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including strong Power Point skills
- Ability to work cross-functionally to drive a smart business solution
- Ability to project manage and deliver on deadlines
- Relevant experience on well-established CPG products or in QSR/Restaurant industry.
