Our client is seeking a Full-Time OSI PI Developer to support US based LNG export facility and service the global demand for North American natural gas. This Houston-based position will support the long-term development of clean and reliable North American energy supplies.
The primary focus of this role involves facilitating the implementation of PI services, encompassing development, processes, strategies, and procedures. This entails translating business requirements into actionable solutions within PI Vision screens or analytics, often necessitating collaboration with external contractors and vendors to develop data inputs and automated interfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administering all OSI PI services, including PI Vision, PI Data Link, PI Analytics, and Asset Framework.
- Developing Asset Framework modules and hierarchies with a focus on automation and scalability.
- Independently addressing complex business problems and executing effective solutions.
- Providing support to Integrated Production Excellence and Operations Engineering teams during process troubleshooting by developing required screens for engineering analysis.
- Assisting in Artificial Intelligence/Advanced Analytics development for Integrated Production Excellence and offering technical support for transforming data into actionable insights.
- Maintaining PI Historian and other infrastructure components to ensure the integrity and accessibility of Real Time system data.
- Documenting project scopes, coordinating with vendors, performing vendor evaluations and selections, and monitoring vendor performance.
- Developing OSI PI Vision screens and implementing best practices.
- Creating calculated tags, alerts, and event frames.
- Integrating PI tags with other systems.
- Designing Corporate PI screens to aggregate production data at a corporate level.
- Providing insights into strategies for installing, maintaining, organizing, and expanding real-time capabilities.
- Troubleshooting and supporting issues with PI tags and optimizing compression rates for PI tag transfers.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Mathematics, IT, Business, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in OSI PI administration.
- Proficiency in PI Vision development, PI Data Link development, Asset Framework hierarchy builds, conditional alerting, and PI Analytics.
- Experience in integrating data sources with OSI PI Data Archive.
- Ability to lead workshops with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with strong critical thinking abilities.
- Strong work ethic with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities and business needs.
- Attention to detail and the ability to efficiently summarize and prioritize information.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Azure cloud services.
- Proficiency in SQL.
- Familiarity with transferring PI data to Azure Data Lake.
- Experience in agile development and sprint planning.
- Strong technical writing skills.
