CES/AWS is looking for CNC Machinist for our manufacturing client located in Tuscaloosa, AL
Pay rate: up to $45/h (DOE)

Job Summary
The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce precision components. This role will involve troubleshooting, process improvement, and working closely with the Engineering department to enhance machining processes. Key Responsibilities
- Set up and operate CNC machines to manufacture parts according to specifications
- Perform change-over activities for new job setups
- Review raw materials for accuracy and quality, ensuring heat lot/certification numbers are correct
- Troubleshoot parts and collaborate with Engineering to optimize machining processes
- Train operators on job-related processes as needed
- Document production data and maintain records in ERP system
- Conduct in-process inspections and document results
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment by following prescribed safety procedures
- Provide an end-of-shift report detailing the shift's activities
Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required
- Experience: 5+ years of CNC milling and/or turning machine setup and operation experience
- Strong ability to read technical drawings and interpret GD&T
- Proficient with measuring tools and gages
- Familiarity with Siemens or Heidenhain controls preferred
- Experience with Deckel Maho Gildemeister (DMG) machines preferred
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and ERP systems.
