The Financial Planning & Analysis Director is primary responsibilities to include analyzing financial results, budgeting, forecasting, risk evaluation and managing those risks, and other projects as assigned. Role will managing one Pricing Analyst while working closely with executive leadership.
Responsibilities/Duties/Functions/Tasks
Develop, implement and maintain an effective analysis and planning capability that will provide senior leadership with appropriate analytical tools to establish goals and measure performance of the Company’s business.
- Must have very strong Excel skills-Models are built using Excel and they move those to a Tableau dashboard
- Participate as a key thought leader of the finance team, supporting the strategic business planning process, influencing decision making, and identifying finance priorities.
- Routinely communicate company consolidated financial and operational performance and proactively identify trends, resulting implications, key actions, and strategic implications.
- Lead scenario modeling efforts for the development and growth of the Company.
- Influence the accuracy and effectiveness of the corporate accounting consolidation and closing process and treasury operations through analytical review and trend analysis.
- Conduct monthly meetings with department leaders to review budget to actual results and recommendations for improvement.
- Lead the strategic aspects of the annual operating plan and budget process for the Company.
- Prepare presentations in support of board meetings, monthly/quarterly senior leadership meetings and various other areas of the Company.
- Coordinate the capital spending review process for the Company, including organizing capital review meetings, pre-review vetting process and all aspects of formal capital appropriation request (CAR) documentation.
- Participate in the financial modeling and due diligence efforts related to the Company's M&A activities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or other Business-related discipline.
- 4+ years’ experience in similar role (FP&A Manager, Financial Due Diligence, Consulting or Investment Banking) showing progression during career.
- Flexibility to adjust work load and hours when necessary.
- Use of Dynamics GP, Excel, and Tableau a plus (excel a must)
- Strategic thinker with the desire and ability to construct financial, business, and industry analyses creatively and effectively
- Demonstrates proactive approach to working both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, particularly as it relates to effectively articulating and displaying data analysis with clear and concise recommendations.
- Display excellent organizational skills to manage own schedule, as well as direct reports.
- Excellent Excel skills, including ability to build financials models
- Strong knowledge of accounting and US GAAP and technical pronouncements.
- Build relationships with all internal departments, as well as foreign location(s) leaders.
- Must be able to work in an environment that fosters collaboration, as well as motivate others to achieve common goals and objectives of the organization.
