Sherman & Howard is seeking a dynamic Practice Assistant in our Denver office.

The Practice Assistant supports attorneys and paralegals by performing a variety of legal and administrative tasks. Strong candidates should have document preparation experience, working with complex documents and possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with clients, attorneys, and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with making edits to and proofreading correspondence, contracts, agreements, and other complex documents in draft and in final form.
- Prepare, submit, and maintain weekly time records.
- Set up, maintain, and ensure that files are kept current including classifying, arranging files, filing, and storing information.
- Monitor, prioritize, organize, and facilitate daily workflow to meet project deadlines. This includes all administrative tasks including scheduling meetings, calendar management, processing expense reimbursements etc.
- Maintain e-mails and documents on Document Management System (DMS) as determined by attorney and paralegal.
- Act as liaison for attorneys and all office service departments, including Accounting, Business Development, IT, and Docketing & Records.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3+ years of legal administrative support experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with general processes, systems philosophies, structure, methods, and approaches of mid-to-large sized firms.
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
- Proficient in using software systems such as Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), DMS/iManage Desksite, Aderant, Expert Time (EAPro), Workshare Compare, and Adobe.
- Ability to organize, prioritize and multi-task, while working effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
- Ability to establish good rapport with attorneys, clients, and other staff.
- Ability to proofread a variety of documents with high attention to detail.
- Ability to think creatively and work independently.
- Exceptionally strong organizational skills and work ethic in delivering client products promptly.

Sherman & Howard offers competitive compensation and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision, life, long term disability, flexible spending, 401K, Paid Time Off, paid holidays, bonus and more. The salary range for this position is $59,000 - $78,000/year. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted information based on work experience, education, and/or skill level.
