Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a variety of real estate finance transactions, including but not limited to:
- Acquisition and Development Financing
- Permanent and Construction Loans
- Bridge and Mezzanine Financing
- Commercial Mortgage-Backed Securities (CMBS) Loans
- Warehouse Lines of Credit
- Syndicated Loans and Credit Facilities
- Preferred Equity Investments
- Restructuring and Workouts related to real estate finance
- Advise clients on structuring, negotiating, and documenting real estate finance transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and alignment with clients' business objectives.
- Collaborate with a team of attorneys across practice groups to deliver seamless, high-quality legal services on complex, multi-jurisdictional transactions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive, thoughtful, and strategic counsel.
- Stay current on trends and legal developments in real estate finance to proactively guide clients and address emerging issues.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and active bar membership.
- Significant experience in real estate finance, with a strong understanding of complex financing structures and the ability to manage sophisticated transactions independently.
- Proven expertise in representing lenders and borrowers in a variety of real estate finance matters, including acquisition, construction, and permanent financing.
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with an eye for detail and the ability to manage risk effectively for clients.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively within a team-oriented environment.
