This role specializes in servicing and repairing a variety of complex office equipment at customer locations, primarily within a designated geographic area. The position may also involve Team Lead/Coordinator responsibilities. An Industry Certification is required.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Specializes in servicing and repairing a core set of highly complex office products.
- Manages territory, inventory, and customer relationships.
- Provides 2nd level technical support to other technicians.
- Drives revenue-generating opportunities through various leads.
- Works independently with minimal supervision.
- Performs diagnostics, installations, and retrofits on office products.
- Conducts on-the-job training for new and experienced technicians.
- Manages territory and ensures effective execution of procedures.
- Maintains a "car stock" inventory and handles customer service issues.
Required Experience:
- Typically requires 3+ years of related experience, including a minimum of 2 years as a Technology Service Consultant I.
- Requires 1 Industry Certification and a proven performance record.
- Requires a valid state driver's license and minimum level of auto insurance coverage per Ricoh policy for positions entailing extensive use of personal car while on company business.
Required Education:
- Completion of technical school.
Working Conditions:
- Primarily works in an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation.
- Extensive daily travel between customer locations is required, which may involve various weather conditions.
- May require handling of minor cuts and burns, exposure to chemical solvents, and the potential for stress from high service call volumes.
