Position Overview: The Quality Assurance Manager will be instrumental in ensuring our textile products meet and exceed customer expectations through rigorous quality control processes and continuous improvement initiatives. This role leads a team of two Quality Assurance Technicians and collaborates closely with our international supplier network and product development team to maintain exceptional quality standards in our fast-paced e-commerce environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Quality Leadership & Team Management:
- Direct and mentor two Quality Assurance Technicians in executing quality control processes
- Develop and implement quality control strategies aligned with business objectives
- Lead weekly coordination meetings with international quality teams, including our China-based SQE team
Quality Systems & Standards:
- Manage QIMA inspection processes and maintain Oeko-tex compliance standards
- Develop and maintain quality metrics dashboards using data analytics tools
- Create and update specification packs for manufacturers and cross-functional teams
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to optimize quality processes
Supplier Quality Management:
- Coordinate with international suppliers across multiple time zones (primarily China +14 hours)
- Review and analyze quality inspection reports to determine pass/fail outcomes
- Issue and track Corrective Action and Preventive Action (CAPA) requests
- Partner with Product Development to resolve technical challenges in material selection and processing
Continuous Improvement:
- Lead quality planning activities, including auditing and control plan development
- Conduct quarterly quality analytics briefings for leadership team
- Research and evaluate new textile materials and technologies
- Design and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma methodology
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Textile Engineering, Textile Science, Fabric Technology, Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or related field
- 5+ years experience in textile quality assurance or related field
- Proven experience with QIMA inspection processes
- Strong data analytics skills and proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, pivot tables, statistical analysis)
- Experience managing quality teams and working with international suppliers
- Excellent problem-solving abilities with a data-driven approach
Preferred Qualifications:
- Lean Six Sigma certification (Green Belt or higher)
- Experience with Oeko-tex standards and certification processes
- Background in e-commerce or retail quality management
- Project management experience with tools like Asana
- Knowledge of textile manufacturing processes and quality control methods

Salary Range: $85,000 - $120,000 USD annually
