Schenck, Price, Smith & King, LLP is seeking an associate for our Environmental Department with 3-7 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in environmental compliance and litigation at federal, state, and local levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compliance counseling to ensure adherence to environmental regulations.
- Develop strategies for site remediation cost recovery and manage related litigation.
- Conduct transactional due diligence to assess environmental liabilities.
- Draft and negotiate contracts and agreements with environmental considerations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- Active membership in good standing with the New Jersey State Bar (required) and New York State Bar
- Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated experience representing clients before key regulatory bodies such as the NJ Department of Environmental Protection, EPA, NY Department of Environmental Conservation, and NY Department of Health
- Commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards
