The Opportunity
Valvoline has a rewarding opportunity as a Sr. Vendor Manager. In this role, you will oversee and optimize our vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vendor management, inventory management, procurement, and supply chain processes with multi-location retail. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail services and integrated services and supply. You will be responsible for evaluating vendor performance, negotiating contracts, ensuring compliance with contracts, managing end-to-end solutions, and managing vendor services to budget within company stands.
How You'll Make a Difference
- Vendor Selection and Evaluation: Identify and evaluate potential vendors based on quality, cost, and reliability. Conduct regular assessments of vendor performance and compliance with contracts.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate terms and conditions with vendors to secure favorable pricing and service levels. Manage the contract lifecycle, ensuring all agreements are up-to-date and compliant.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure collaboration and satisfaction. Address any issues or disputes that arise, working towards effective resolutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Develop and implement KPIs for vendor performance and service delivery. Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to vendors.
- Cost Management: Analyze vendor pricing and market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities. Collaborate with finance and technology teams to manage budgets and forecasts.
- Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure vendors adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements. Identify and mitigate risks associated with vendor relationships.
- Other duties and responsibilities as determined by Valvoline from time to time in its sole discretion.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Bachelor’s degree in Vendor Services Management or a related field
- Minimum of ten years of experience in vendor management, inventory management, procurement, supply chain
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Proficiency in data analysis and performance metrics
- Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to vendor contracts
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Experience with vendor management hardware, software, and tools
- Experience with vendor management integrated services and supply management
- Experience with end-to-end vendor management solutions
- Familiarity with industry-specific standards and best practices
- Project management experience
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
