TCI has an immediate need for two Desktop Build Technician in Louisville, KY. This is not a Corp2Corp opportunity. This is a contract opportunity with possible extensions and/or hire. SUMMARY
Our Fortune 500 Energy client is one of the U.S.'s lowest-cost energy providers and an industry innovator, operating in Kentucky.
The Desktop Build Technician will participate in PC Refresh; the scope of this project is to replace hardware and software throughout the organization. Includes building the replacement PC s and providing level 3 support for sites in and around the Louisville area.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform needs assessment (hardware & software).
- Assemble computer hardware components including motherboards, processors, memory, storage devices, and power supplies.
- Install and configure operating systems and software applications.
- Ensure compatibility and proper functioning of all hardware and software components.
- Diagnose hardware and software issues and implement appropriate solutions.
- Repair or replace defective components as necessary.
- Testing and Quality Assurance: Perform rigorous testing procedures to identify defects or malfunctions in computer systems.
- Conduct stress tests and diagnostic procedures to ensure system stability and performance.
- Document test results and provide feedback for improvement.
- On-site troubleshooting and level 3 technical support for end users.
- Position will be based in Louisville, KY and will require work to be completed at various off-site locations in and around Louisville as necessary.
- Mileage reimbursement will be paid for travel to various sites.
REQUIREMENTS
- 2+ years of experience as a Desktop Technician.
- Working knowledge of Windows 10 & 11 as well as Microsoft Office and other productivity software.
- Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.
- Must have experience with Windows 10/11 install/build.
- Must have excellent customer service skills and follow through.
- Candidate is responsible for transportation to off-site locations in and around Louisville, KY which includes mileage reimbursement.
- A+ certification is highly desired.
