Position Overview:
We are currently seeking an ambitious and dedicated Technical Accounting Manager to join our team. If you excel in fast-paced settings and have a passion for problem-solving in complex financial scenarios, and have a passion for taking on new projects, we want to hear from you! In this role, you will play a critical part in financial reporting, analysis, and compliance, driving excellence in our accounting practices.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Financial Reporting and Analysis
- Prepare and present accurate financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Analyze financial data and performance to provide insights to management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (GAAP, IFRS, etc.) and timely filing of statutory reports.
- Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process and address technical accounting issues.
General Ledger Maintenance
- Oversee the maintenance and accuracy of the general ledger and sub-ledgers.
- Review and approve journal entries, account reconciliations, and adjustments.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end closing processes.
Accounts Payable and Receivable Management
- Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure timely collection of receivables and payment of payables.
- Monitor credit risk and collections to maintain cash flow efficiency.
- Manage cash flow, ensuring sufficient liquidity for operational needs.
Cost Accounting and Product Costing
- Analyze and track product costs to ensure accurate costing of goods.
- Collaborate with operations and purchasing teams to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Monitor cost variances and provide recommendations for improving profitability.
Project Management
- Manage and/or support financial projects, such as system implementations or mergers and acquisitions.
- Track project expenses and ensure alignment with budgets and forecasts.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in a manufacturing setting.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Master of Business Administration (MBA) preferred.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to foster a positive and collaborative team environment through effective communication and teamwork.
Compensation and Benefits:
Haas Cabinets offers a competitive hourly rate based on experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package that includes paid time off, paid holidays, medical insurance, short- and long-term disability, a life insurance program, and a 401(k) match.
