Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. Our Synergy Integrations Team is responsible for product support, testing, and training of Synergy Audio/Video integrated systems. We are seeking an intern, pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or Information Technology, to assist with designing, deploying, and debugging a control system program focused on Audio/Visual room-to-room solutions. The ideal candidate will have programming experience with a love for new technology and control systems.
This internship will run from May 2025 – August 2025. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Fort Myers, FL facility.
Main Objective:
To research and develop new technologies related to control systems for Audio/Visual.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Design, deploy, and debug a control system program created using Microsoft Visual Studio Code for room-to-room audio and video solutions.
- Meet with individual stakeholders to gather system requirements.
- Research and learn new technologies that can be used to improve system designs.
- Learn how to program demo systems using programming languages such as Json.
Education and Experience:
- Progress towards a college degree in Computer Science, Computer/Software Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Programming required. A college sophomore or above required. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
- Programming experience required.
- Audio/Visual experience preferred.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
