We are a fast-paced financial services firm located in the heart of New York City’s financial district. Our team specializes in providing innovative trading solutions and market insights to a diverse range of clients. We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Desk Assistant to support our Sales and Trading team and our clients.
The Sales and Trading Desk Assistant will join a growing SEC-registered securities and broker/dealer servicing the retail sales and trading desk. The role will be responsible for working closely with each member of the sales desk while managing a variety of account maintenance tasks, including setting up accounts, customer service support, monitoring accounts, as well as other various tasks.
Responsibilities
- Support the Sales and Trading team with day-to-day activities, including data entry, tracking trades, and managing client interactions.
- Assist with account set up, trade confirmations, reporting, and reconciliation.
- Maintain up-to-date records and documents for client accounts and trading activities.
- Monitor and compile basic market data, news, and insights for the team.
- Help prepare and distribute daily summaries, reports, and updates to the team and clients.
- Provide general administrative support, including scheduling meetings, managing documents, and handling basic inquiries.
Requirements
- Experience with Wealth Management and Fixed income side of the business is essential.
- A degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
- Strong interest in financial markets, sales and trading.
- Proven customer service skills and instincts are needed.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Pershing and financial databases is essential.
- Excellent attention to detail, process, organizational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast pasted environment and adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Strong verbal, writing, and overall communications skills.
- SIE, Series 7, Series 63 are required for this role.
- Minimum of (3) three years of experience is required.
