Under the direction of the Staff Services Manager (SSM) I in the Procurement and Contracts Service Section (PCSS), the incumbent is independently responsible for the development and preparation of departmental acquisition operations in support of the Department of State Hospitals (DSH). Incumbent shall work independently with project/contract managers and analysts, Department of General Services (DGS) procurement personnel, various program representatives and vendors to facilitate non-IT acquisitions in accordance with California Codes, Regulations, Manuals, and departmental policies and procedures. This position will conduct continuous quality improvement drills and monitor compliance; assist in the development of departmental procurement manuals, policies, and training materials; and provides mentoring and guidance to program personnel and peers.

Working Conditions
- DSH is located at a new 11 floor high rise building at 1215 O Street.
- This position is eligible for a hybrid schedule, which includes up to 3 days of remote work per week but is subject to change based on Department guidelines and business needs. Incumbent may travel throughout California as needed, with prior notice.
