Prepares, checks, and reviews working plans, detailed drawings and specifications for design layout, construction and operation of LNG plant equipment, electrical systems and natural gas gate stations, while under direct supervision of the team lead, project engineers, or project managers.
Responsibilities
- Development of construction drawings of plant electrical, instrumentation, & control equipment and system layouts to include conduit routing plans, cable tray designs, grounding & equipment location drawings, one-line diagrams, conduit risers, loop diagrams, and motor control schematics.
- Control panels, junction box layouts, interconnection diagrams and cable schedules in which Site Plans, Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s), Load Lists, Instrument Lists, I/O lists, One-Line Diagrams and vendor documentation are the primary design information source. Limited field assignments will most likely be necessary.
- Coordinate electrical designs with Mechanical, Piping and Civil Structural Disciplines.
- Review and compare electrical drawings against Electrical One Line Diagrams, Engineering Documentation, and P&ID’s for accuracy and completeness.
- Utilizes and reviews various pieces of equipment, engineering practices, specifications, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
- Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired by Client.
- Maintain or develop new project drawing files for all related drawings in accordance with company standards and procedures.
Qualifications
Education and/or Experience
- We are looking for a Junior-to-Mid-level designer with 4+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Computer Skills
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of AutoCAD 2D & 3D Design software; MS Excel/Word software.
- Familiarity and working knowledge with Navisworks, BlueBeam software is a plus.
