The Manager, IT Applications oversees Business Analysts and Applications Administrators. The Manager, IT Business Applications is responsible for working closely with business units and staff to understand the goals, challenges and needs of the business. This position is responsible for aligning team direction and objectives in support of the current and future business goals and needs. **PLM Implementation experience is required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Ensuring that the team has the necessary capabilities to support the needs of the business.
- Evaluating business strategies and aligning team direction in support of those strategies.
- Understand corporate goals and translate them into key IT projects that are effectively implemented.
- Weigh and prioritize needs of all customers and plan work and projects in a fashion that meets business needs
- Communicating the value of service delivered by the team, to executives and recommending modifications as appropriate in order to be most beneficial to the business.
- Manage the workload and growth direct reports by setting priorities, effective delegation, and balanced management of tasks and projects.
- Team with business leaders and staff to lead the improvement of key business processes.
- Promote the clear understanding and effective use of technology, specifically applications throughout the company.
- Provide expert technical guidance to IT peers, IT leadership and other departments regarding business process design and improvement.
Scope:
- Supervises staff – Yes (Business Analysts, Administrators, Release Manager, etc.)
- Financial Scope – Manages projects/development up to several million dollars
- Organizational Scope – All US locations
- Decision Making – Creates policy and resolves problems
- Travel – minimal
Requirements:
Job Qualifications – Education and Experience
- B.S. / B.A. in related field required.
- 5+ years of Retail / IT experience
- Passionate, collaborative, and positive approach to achieving company growth objectives.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to show leadership across the organization.
The anticipated salary range for this position is $123,600 – $185,500 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. In addition, we offer comprehensive and competitive benefits to Associates (and their families) such as medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company’s 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays). Paid sick time up to 80 hours per year unless otherwise required by law.
