LOCATION: Sacramento, CA.
SALARY: $37 - $51/hr.
SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday | 8:00 am – 5:00 pm | Long-Term
THE ROLE
The ideal Risk Analyst will manage general liability and property recovery claims, process workers' compensation cases, and support light-duty programs. Responsibilities include reviewing contract insurance requirements, preparing documentation and correspondence, and analyzing claims to identify risks. This role requires attention to detail and expertise in claims management and risk mitigation.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage general liability and property recovery claims from start to finish.
- Conduct field investigations and respond to accidents and incidents.
- Analyze and investigate claims to determine validity and potential risks.
- Coordinate and oversee the Workers' Compensation claims program.
- Schedule and attend hearings and civil proceedings related to claims.
- Manage and coordinate light duty programs for injured employees returning to work.
- Prepare and maintain documentation, correspondence, and reports related to claims, hazards, and incidents.
Skills
- Minimum of 3 years of technical or professional experience in general liability claims.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Public Administration, HR Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of general liability and workers' compensation claims processes.
- Proficient in accident investigation, including principles and techniques of liability and subrogation claims adjustment.
- Understanding of tort law, damages, and evidence in the context of claims.
- Skilled in damage appraisal and repair processes related to claims.
- Advanced proficiency in spreadsheets, presentation software, and database management.
- Ability to coordinate and manage multiple claims programs simultaneously.
