We are currently looking for a highly energized Corporate Vice President of F&B with a track record of demonstrated success within the hotel environment to oversee the development and execution of the Restaurants, Bars and Catering operations under the Azul Hospitality umbrella. The ability to effectively communicate with ownership, corporate leadership and property teams and lead by example are trademarks required for this role.
The Corporate VP of F&B is responsible for the overall F&B operation, establishment, and implementation of consistent day-to-day operations in the company. This role requires a strong background in F&B management, the ability to communicate effectively, exceptional financial management and analysis skills, building and leading diverse teams, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences. We are looking for a multi-unit leader with experience that will help position the company for current and upcoming growth. Responsible for proactively driving the F&B management of our multi-brand of hotels and assuring financial success, along with guest and employee satisfaction of our current and future hotels. As a key leader of the F&B team, the person in this position will be responsible for the development and execution of the overall vision, including the design and new concept approvals of Restaurants, Bar and Catering for all outlets. For the highly qualified individual, this role can be located remotely with the ability to travel.
JOB ESSENTIALS
Operations:
- Establish, implement, and maintain accountability for standard operating procedures, company policies, specifications, programs, and initiatives relating to all revenues across AHG.
- Introduce best practices to continually improve AHG hotel and restaurant operations.
- Effectively and continue to create compelling training materials.
- Elevate the guest’s experience in all operations.
- Work collaboratively with all Azul General Managers and Senior leadership.
- Develop effective programs/materials utilizing a variety of sources, modify programs as needed and continual responsibility for timely and effective training of all AHG associates.
- Assist the SVP in implementing & executing Wine & Spirits strategy across the enterprise.
- Coordinate distributor & supplier partnerships at the corporate and venue level.
- Critical path planning & project management.
- Continue to look for best practices streamlining F&B operations through technology or progressive operational equipment.
- Be able to take a hands-on approach working in various F&B disciplines.

Revenue and Property Finance:
- Accountable for preparation, presentation and monitoring of annual operating budgets and capital plans.
- Create and manage the operating pre-opening budgets for new openings for restaurants and hotels.
- Monitor budgets versus actual results, report variances to leadership and take all necessary corrective actions to address variances.
- Ensure excellence in AHG day-to-day financial accounting, reporting, analytical and planning functions, as well as the integration of best practices.
- Actively champion revenue management innovation and driving a revenue culture.
Reporting, and Compliance Oversight
- Reports to the Chief Executive Officer.
- Part of Corporate Operations team.
- Ensure that standard operating procedures, company policies, and key initiatives in legal and compliance are communicated, implemented, and maintained.
Marketing, Sales, and Communications
- Actively engage in promoting revenue management innovation and driving revenue culture across all AHG teams.
- Understand the value of social media and how it impacts revenue streams.
Growth
- Plan and manage all new hotels and restaurant openings.
- Understand the importance of long lead project management as it impacts the development of an asset.
- Create, define, deliver, and monitor for implementation the necessary procedures to ensure a smooth pre-opening and opening process, including but not limited to the execution of the pre-opening visits, the delivery of all required standards and that these are fully met to open and operate as a AHG branded hotel and restaurant.
- Lead pre-openings effectively and efficiently ensuring that the resources including operations, design, construction, and matters related to fire life safety, insurance and compliance are coordinated to open on time and within budgets.
- Make recommendations to the COO regarding long-term strategies in the area of Hospitality IT Systems.

Brand Compliance
- Must ensure passing of all brand training, QA Inspections, etc. Be at or higher than brand thresholds.

Travel
- The Job consists of 50% - 60% travel.
Cost Containment / Profitability
- Ensure all properties are controlling all expenses, re-bid service agreements, ensure PO and labor systems are in place and followed.
- Achieve or exceed profitability numbers.
- Ensure labor reports are in place and staffing guidelines makes sense.
Maintenance and Safety
- Verify on property walk throughs that solid preventative maintenance programs are in place for the entire hotel and equipment, etc.
- Conduct safety inspections.
Ensuring Operational Excellence
- Support GMs in monitoring quality and guest satisfaction, enhancing quality guest experience.
- Ensure GMs and property-level resources are leveraging corporate expertise to create on-brand ambiance, activities, partnerships, art/culture, guest messaging and social media production.
- Provide creative direction in the planning and activation of hotel food & beverage experiences, while properties deliver on brand promises and establish clear, strong identities and elevate the guest experience from booking through post-arrival messaging.
Leading Property Transitions and Openings
- Lead new property openings, overseeing process and communications.
- Contribute to pre-opening needs hiring and training of the team, preopening safety, insurance, and legal compliance (licenses and permits) are coordinated to open on time and within budgets.
- Create and manage the operating pre-opening budgets for new openings.
Working Conditions
- Ability to travel on short notice and adaptable to schedule changes.

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE
- 8+ years in hotel and/or restaurant management.
- Lifestyle brands experience required.

- Experience in activating hotels and resorts and creating unique guest experiences.
- Knowledge of branding and how to ensure consistent messaging throughout the guest journey.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, pricing, and inventory control.
- Ability to build, manage and report on multiple budgets with continual focus on profit and loss.
TECHNICAL EXPERTISE
