Credit Manager needed for mid-size company located in Brea, CA. Will pay up to 105k plus bonus. Must be "hands on," collaborative, resourceful and an excellent communicator.
Responsibilities will include the following:
- Establish accounts for new customers by reviewing Credit Application materials and obtaining further information as needed
- Perform yearly and ad hoc credit reviews of existing customers
- Manage a portfolio of developed and higher maintenance accounts
- Monitor orders on credit hold for assigned portfolio and review associate portfolios throughout the day to ensure issues are addressed to get orders released, respecting multiple cutoff times during workday and workweek
- Review and approve credit viability of requests for extended terms, payment plans, and review with Controller prior to implementation
- Review and maintain detailed customer contact documentation, establishing guidelines for credit associate effective documentation
- Manage all account reconciliation activity and work with customers to establish consistent records
- Monitor the performance of all portfolios and review challenges with sales, credit associates, management, and other stakeholders within the organization
- Review and approve recommended adjustments, application of late fees, credits and write-offs and review with Controller prior to implementation
- Interface professionally with all departments and management responsible for resolving disputed pending items
- Analyze delinquent and/or problem accounts and review recommendations for resolution which may include demand notices, legal support and selective use of outside collection agencies
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree a plus, but not required.
- 5-7 years’ experience in Credit as a senior analyst in a managerial role
- Supervisory experience a must.
