The role:
We are seeking a skilled, diligent and empathetic paralegal to join in on the expansion of our legal team. The role requires a self-starter with the ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity. You will be responsible for providing vital support to our clients in addition to managing your own caseload. Experience settling and negotiating is preferred, as it is a primary function of our client advocacy as we work to provide favorable outcomes through negotiation.
Primary functions of your caseload include: settling and negotiating accounts to receive a favorable outcome for our clients, ability to comprehend complex legal concepts and convey them clearly, providing excellent customer service which may include de-escalating or comforting clients in crisis, time-management and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, identify discrepancies or trends within cases and raise them attorneys, and enhance team knowledge as well as your own personal/professional skill set.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain professional relationships with clients and coworkers alike while upholding confidentiality
- Handling client inquiries and correspondence with both compassion and accuracy
- Communicate and translate effectively to a variety of parties: including but not limited to clients, opposing counsel, co-workers, attorneys, and any other external parties
- Collaborate with others, fostering a positive and cooperative work environment
- Conduct legal research using various resources to gather relevant information for cases, contracts, and legal opinions
- Share findings to increase team knowledge
- Draft, review, and organize all correspondence and documentation ensuring accuracy, completeness, and adherence to company and legal guidelines
- Ensuring client files organization, availability and readiness for trial
- Maintain and update legal databases, filing systems, and document repositories, ensuring easy retrieval and accurate recordkeeping
- Assist in conducting due diligence reviews and compliance checks to ensure legal and regulatory requirements are constantly met
- Identify and analyze discrepancies/trends within cases and raise them to Attorneys
- Attend relevant training sessions to enhance professional knowledge and skills
- Enhance team knowledge as well as your own personal/professional skill set
Minimum Requirements:
- Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in a firm required
- Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal studies or similar, Paralegal Certification; or an equivalent mix of education and experience
- Concise and adaptable communicator with customer service skills which may include de-escalating or comforting clients in crisis
- Uphold the highest standards of professional ethics, integrity, and confidentiality
- Ability to work independently while adhering to deadlines and maintaining a high level of productivity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to comprehend complex legal concepts and convey them clearly to clients
- Ability to concentrate for extended periods

Compensation: Salary range of 50,000 – $75,000 dependent on experience.
