IT Systems Administrator
Job Description
As an IT Systems Administrator, you'll be at the frontline of our IT support team, assisting our colleagues with technical issues, troubleshooting software and hardware problems, and providing exceptional customer service. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring our systems run smoothly and our team stays productive.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
● Responsible for responding to telephone calls, emails, and personnel requests for technical support while documenting, tracking and providing resolutions in a time fashion.
● Assist in tracking help desk inquiries pertaining to application, networking and systems problems and issues.
● Prioritize efficiently and respond with the appropriate amount of urgency to user problems.
● Assign username, password, and access permissions for multiple proprietary applications and client software.
● Provide support for Windows 11, 10 and even some legacy Windows 7 by evaluating and troubleshooting issues including running in-depth diagnostics.
● Correct application issues, solve network and security problems, and identify common PC software and hardware issues.
● Provide hardware support for PCs and laptops, such as installing replacement hardware or upgrading hardware.
● Provide basic training and support to new hires on programs frequently used by employees.
● Create reports, shortcuts, and dashboards in NetSuite as requested by employees.
● Collaborate with other team members to implement, deploy, and train employees on new applications and software.
● Create training documents with tips and tricks to maximize employees’ productivity.
● Assist with product data entry in programs as needed.
● Support software and hardware on equipment such as scanners, copiers, printers, monitors, and other peripherals.
● Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
● Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in IT or equivalent with 2+ years of experience
● Strong troubleshooting skills and technical aptitude
● Strong proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications
● NetSuite experience preferred
● Acquires job skills and learns applicable policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
● Able to read, understand and perform assignments within prescribed guidelines.
● Excellent communication and customer service skills.
● Willingness to continue education for appropriate systems covered by the company
● Able to lift a minimum of 40lbs (desktop computers and other devices)
● Ideal candidate will have an eagerness to learn.
● This is NOT a remote position. You are required to work regular hours, onsite in an office environment[1] .
