Job Description:
• We're looking for a ServiceNow Architect for a long-term (multiple years) contract position with a Pennsylvania Government Agency located in Harrisburg, PA.
• The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills as they will be required to talk to leadership on the IT and Business side.
• They must also have AI/Gen AI experience within ServiceNow.
• This position is remote with occasional onsite requirements.
Description of Duties:
1. Align ServiceNow implementation to ServiceNow’s roadmap and ensure continuously alignment.
2. Lead sessions with Business users to gather business requirements and architect solutions to meet the business needs.
3. Capture business requirements and test cases to meet the requirements of the business in Microsoft ADO.
4. Oversee the configuration, customization, and development of ServiceNow workflows and scripts, which includes ServiceNow's Automated Test Framework (ATF).
5. Collaborate with stakeholders, developers, and business analysts to gather requirements, understand business processes, and design robust and scalable solutions.
6. Create detailed functional and technical design specifications that align with short- and long-term needs and leverage the capabilities of the ServiceNow platform and integration with third-party technologies effectively.
7. Act as a trusted advisor, providing expert guidance on ServiceNow capabilities, customization options, and best practices.
8. Mentor junior developers and staff in learning of ServiceNow and to be a champion in grooming tech analysts to be long term techno functional resources for the commission.
9. Identify potential challenges and propose innovative solutions to address them.
10. Work closely with project managers, developers, and other teams to support the implementation of solutions.
11. Provide technical oversight and ensure that the design is accurately translated into a functional solution.
12. Design and oversee the integration of ServiceNow with other systems and applications to create seamless workflows and automate business processes.
13. Ensure data consistency and integrity across different platforms.
14. Conduct performance analysis and optimizations to enhance the overall efficiency and responsiveness of ServiceNow and integrated solutions.
15. Identify and address bottlenecks to improve system performance.
16. Work closely with resources, and leadership, to ensure that the appropriately certified, trained, and experienced resources are working on projects.
17. Identify and communicate talent gaps and propose solutions to address the gaps.
18. Work closely with project managers to keep projects within scope and timeline.
19. Communicate regularly with leadership on the status of projects, and support deployment registrations to maintain ServiceNow partner status.
20. Ensure that all ServiceNow and integrated solutions adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements.
21. Collaborate with security teams to implement robust security measures and maintain a secure environment.
22. Create comprehensive technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, design specifications, and implementation guidelines.
23. Contribute to the knowledge base and share best practices within the team and the Practice.
24. Lead the sharing of knowledge across the practice, including demonstrations and lunch and learns.
25. Stay updated on the latest advancements in ServiceNow and integrated technologies, tools, and industry trends.
26. Continuously enhance your expertise to provide innovative solutions and approaches.
27. Build and maintain strong relationships with the business through effective communication, understanding their needs, and delivering high-quality solutions that exceed their expectations.
28. Lead the development roadmaps to identify and foster new opportunities for ServiceNow integration.
29. Present proposed solutions to leadership, explaining the technical details in a clear and understandable manner.
30. Collaborate with the functional team and create proposals and presentations that outline the technical aspects of the solution, including implementation plans, timelines, and cost estimates, and ensure that the proposed solutions address all the specific requirements outlined in the solicitation documents.
Education and Experience Requirements:
• 10+ years of combined experience in the design, development, and implementation of ServiceNow solutions and integrations, including ITSM, ITOM, ITAM, CMDB, and other modules as required.
• 5+ years’ experience working as a ServiceNow Lead Architect level.
• 1+ year experience working with ServiceNow’s GenAI model Now Assist.
• Bachelor’s degree in business management or information systems.
• We require the resource to have certifications that demonstrate a deep understanding of the ServiceNow platform, as well as the ability to design, implement, and manage complex solutions across various ServiceNow modules.
