Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Unix Developer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Linux application development, particularly using Shell scripting, and a strong background in data warehousing solutions. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust applications that support our data management and analytics initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain Linux-based applications using Shell scripting.
- Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to design and implement data warehousing solutions.
- Optimize existing scripts and applications for performance and scalability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Unix/Linux environments.
- Ensure data integrity and security within the data warehousing framework.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in software development.
- Document technical specifications and processes for future reference.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Unix Developer or similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Shell scripting and Linux application development.
- Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and tools (e.g., ETL processes, data modeling).
- Experience with database management systems (e.g., Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based data warehousing solutions (e.g., AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
