Job Title: Project Engineer - Retail Construction

Our GC client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer with experience in retail construction projects to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in commercial construction and a proven track record of successfully managing project tasks and documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of retail construction projects.
- Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFI) to clarify project details and requirements.
- Collaborate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to ensure project specifications are met.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Assist in the preparation of project schedules and budgets.
- Conduct site visits to monitor construction activities and address any issues that arise.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of construction experience working for a commercial builder or general contractor.
- Experience in retail construction projects is preferred; other commercial construction experience will be considered.
- Proficiency in submitting and managing RFIs.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
