We are currently partnered with a large publicly traded company headquartered out of Houston, Texas who is looking to add a Security Architect to their team.
This position requires 50% on-site near downtown Houston.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and design robust security architectures, collaborating with other specialists to meet business, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Test security structures and document IT security aspects of enterprise architecture (Confidentiality, Integrity, Availability).
- Analyze emerging security threats, identify gaps, and design enhancements to mitigate risks.
- Develop secure solutions based on approved architectures and research security strategy, standards, and best practices.
- Recommend new cybersecurity models and management strategies to Senior Leadership.
- Adapt designs to align with legal and environmental condidtions.
- Develop secure configuration guidelines for technical components (LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, servers, databases, etc.)
Background:
- Certifications desired: TOGAF, Open CA, CISSP-ISSAP, AWS/Azure Certifications.
- 5 years experience designing and implementing IT Security Architecture.
- Strong technical background in disciplines such as IT infrastructure, network engineering, cloud engineering, or application solution design.
- Preferably past role as Security Architect in a medium to large organization.
- Extensive knowledge of security and compliance requirements.
Base salary for this position is $140,000 to $160,000
