Our client is an established and reputable commercial construction management firm in the New Haven area. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing construction projects ranging in the $500K to $5M range.

Responsibilities

Ability to successfully manage large scale projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
Build strong relationships with clients/owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
Maintain a positive image of the company with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and team members
Develop and maintain job schedule for the project
Implement and manage project assignments for personnel
Partner with Preconstruction Services regarding value engineering/constructability, soliciting bidders, estimating assistance, and generating proposals

Qualifications

Flexible detailed-oriented enthusiastic self-starter that is a team player with excellent communication, managerial and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
Project Planning, Cost Management, Time Management, Quality Management, Contract Administration, and Safety Management.
The ability to interpret architectural plans and specifications.
Qualified experience in the Higher Education, Health Care and Retail markets are preferred.
Positions will require scheduling, purchasing, estimating, as well as management of personnel, vendors, and subcontractors.
Candidates will be proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Microsoft Project. Sage Project Management Software experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in an accredited construction related curriculum preferred.
Minimum 7 years experience in Commercial Construction.
