Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Mechanical Engineer in Training at Hiltz Propane Systems, Inc. currently located in our Mount Joy (PA) office. The role involves day-to-day tasks related to mechanical engineering, computer-aided design (CAD), project management, and research and development (R&D).

Design and develop propane storage and distribution systems, components, and products according to project specifications and requirements.
Conduct analysis and testing to ensure the functionality, performance, and safety of mechanical designs, with a focus on propane systems.
Create detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and documentation using AutoCAD software.
Collaborate with other engineers, technicians, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues and optimize designs.
Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and project schedules.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control procedures specific to propane systems.
Participate in design reviews, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
Conduct field inspections and provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
Continuously update technical knowledge and skills by attending workshops, courses, and staying current with industry trends, particularly in the propane industry.
Prepare documentation for permitting storage tanks to local jurisdictions.

Qualifications

Experience using AutoCAD
Project Management experience
Research and Development (R&D) skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Must have passed the FE
Relevant internships or work experience
