The Safety Engineer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment. This role involves identifying and mitigating potential hazards, conducting risk assessments, and ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, implement, and manage safety programs and policies in accordance with OSHA, EPA, and other regulatory agencies.
Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and recommend preventive measures.
Provide safety training and education to employees, ensuring they are aware of safety protocols and procedures.
Collaborate with management and other departments to integrate safety into all aspects of operations.
Maintain records of safety-related incidents, training, and compliance.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and regulatory changes, and adjust safety programs accordingly.
Lead safety meetings and committees, fostering a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement.
Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness.
Recommend and implement safety improvements based on data analysis and feedback from employees.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field.
