Job Title: EDI Operations Specialist Contractor

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced EDI Operations Specialist to join our team on a contract basis, supporting daily EDI operational functions. This role will focus on resolving EDI issues, managing accounts receivable EDI workflows, and monitoring EDI-related tickets. The ideal candidate will also participate in EDI projects as needed to support business operations and ensure seamless data exchange with partners.

Responsibilities:

Manage daily EDI operations, including monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving EDI-related issues.
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to address EDI processing errors and ensure timely resolution.
Support accounts receivable processes by ensuring accurate and timely data flow through EDI channels.
Monitor EDI ticketing system and prioritize tickets based on urgency and business impact.
Participate in EDI projects, supporting system upgrades, new partner onboarding, and process improvements as needed.

Required Skills:

Strong experience in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes, with familiarity in standard EDI formats (e.g., X12, EDIFACT) and protocols (e.g., AS2, FTP).
Proficiency in EDI mapping, translation software, and troubleshooting tools.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar) and their integration with EDI solutions.
Ability to manage multiple EDI transactions and maintain accuracy in high-volume environments.
Strong problem-solving skills, especially in identifying root causes and implementing solutions for EDI errors.
Collaborative and adaptable working style, able to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Skills:

Experience with EDI platforms or middleware solutions (e.g., IBM Sterling, Cleo, Dell Boomi, or MuleSoft).
Knowledge of accounts receivable processes and their integration with EDI systems.
Familiarity with ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, JIRA) to manage and track EDI issues.
SQL skills for querying and troubleshooting EDI data issues.
Exposure to project management principles for EDI-related projects or initiatives.
Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain workflow efficiency and documentation practices.
