Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Legal Secretary or paralegal at Freed & Shepherd, P.C. in Richmond, VA.

The Legal Secretary/Paralegal will assist attorneys, manage legal documentation, conduct legal research, and coordinate client communication.

Qualifications

Minimum of two years of experience as a paralegal or legal secretary.

Experience in transactions, estate planning, and administration is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Excellent drafting, extrapolation, research, and communication skills.

Ability to follow written and oral instructions consistently is a must.

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Proficiency in legal terminology and documentation.

Attention to detail and confidentiality is a must.

Extensive experience and proficiency with legal software and research tools

Mastery of word processing, spreadsheets, and top-notch computer skills is necessary. Knowledge of Worldox, Amicus Attorney, QuickBooks, or TABs billing software is a bonus.

College or associate’s degree in paralegal studies or a similar field preferred.
