Trauma/Critical Care/Acute Care Surgeon Opportunity in Phoenix, AZSeeking a Trauma Surgeon/Surgical Intensivist/Acute Care Surgeon to join prominent medical group in Phoenix. This highly regarded group staffs a community hospital with a State and American College of Surgeons designated Level 1 Trauma Center. The Department is seeking a fellowship trained surgeon to complete their team and provide a full range of surgical services.Applicants must be board certified or board eligible by the American Board of Surgery in general surgery and surgical critical care. Requirements include demonstrated skills in emergency surgery, surgical critical care, trauma patient care, and a record of teaching and research experience (health services, translational or basic science research). The Trauma Surgeon reports directly to the Chief of Trauma, and the Chair of the Department of Surgery. Candidate requirements include an M.D. or D.O. from an accredited school of medicine or osteopathy, as well as the completion of a surgical residency and a surgical critical care fellowship.This is an employed opportunity with a not-for-profit faculty practice plan owned and operated by physicians, consisting of more than 400 providers who represent all the major medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties.
