Nurse Manager - Med-Surg, ICU, and ED

Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Clinical Manager to oversee the Med-Surg, ICU, and Emergency Department. This role involves the management of clinical practices and patient care delivery, as well as the management of human, fiscal, material, support, and systems resources. The Clinical Manager will be responsible for ensuring that the goals of the units are achieved and maintained.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Med-Surg, ICU, and ED departments, including 35 FTEs.
- Oversee daily operations with 50 Med-Surg beds, 10 ICU beds, and 8 ED beds, including 2 trauma-ready beds.
- Collaborate with the Director of Periop/OB and the Market CNO to ensure alignment with hospital goals.
- Drive patient experience initiatives, including the implementation of Bedside Shift Reporting, hourly rounding, and leader rounding.
- Ensure that nursing staff possess the competency and skills required to meet the needs of physicians, hospitalists, and intensivists.
- Address current challenges, including staffing, recruitment, and retention, and improve patient flow and capacity to reduce unnecessary patient transfers.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Minimum of 3 years of RN experience
- At least 1 year of leadership experience
Desired:
- Master's degree
- BLS certification
- Clinical or Leadership certification (required within 6 months of hire)
