Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Sampling genetically engineered plant tissue for DNA and Protein testing to screen for traits of interest.
- Planting engineered cotton seeds and maintaining suitable conditions for proper growth.
- Preparing buffer solution to extract protein from cotton leaf.
- Assisting in plant selection, transplanting, plant placement, trashing plants, and plant care.
- Candidates must work well with others, pay attention to detail, and be able to stand for long periods of time.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Must be able to work in hot greenhouse environment.
- Adhere to established safety, health and environmental policies and procedures.
- Maintain acceptable housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Follow all safety and stewardship regulations.
