Plant Manager
Summary: Our Florida-based client, a publicly traded designer, manufacturer, and distributor of interior and exterior doors for residential and commercial builders, has been going strong for almost 100 years. With 15,000 employees, the company produces over 100,000 doors a day, which it sells to around 8,000 customers in 60 countries. The organization has won several prestigious awards for its products. With stability and growth top of mind, it has completed a recent acquisition and is continuously expanding its North American Footprint.
The Plant Manager leads manufacturing operations through a team of supervisors and group leaders, ensuring the production of high-quality products delivered on time. This role is responsible for verifying reports in alignment with the company framework and driving continuous improvement in labor, materials, and machinery efficiency through Lean Six Sigma.

Compensation: $70-80/hour
Location: Prineville, OR
Responsibilities:
- Ensure 100% compliance with company safety policies and procedures.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing techniques to enhance safety, quality, cost efficiency, on-time deliveries, and customer satisfaction.
- Provide leadership in employee relations through effective communication, coaching, training, and problem-solving.
- Monitor operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.
- Drive improvements in manufacturing processes and standardize work procedures to boost productivity and efficiency.
- Oversee production supervision across all shifts.
- Develop production schedules to meet internal goals and customer demands.
- Establish and enforce plant policies and procedures.
- Monitor plant performance against production and quality standards.
- Manage operational labor metrics and drive improvements in the Team Improvement Process and OEE metrics.
- Facilitate Lean Six Sigma process improvements and serve as the plant's advocate for quality and process excellence.
- Hold full P&L responsibility, collaborating closely with finance and sales & marketing to achieve sales objectives.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Bachelor's degree in Business or Operations Management
- 8 years of experience in operations management within a manufacturing environment
- Self-motivated, accountable, with high integrity and strong work ethic.
- Intermediate proficiency in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook, with fast and accurate data entry skills.
- Ability to motivate teams while maintaining accountability.
- Skilled in team-building with a clear communication of roles and responsibilities.
- Passionate about employee engagement and committed to spending time on the production floor.
