Job Description:
The Network Infrastructure Cabling Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of network infrastructure cabling projects within an organization. This role involves leading a team of technicians, coordinating project activities, and ensuring the successful execution of cabling projects to meet client requirements. The Practice Manager is also responsible for maintaining industry best practices, staying updated with emerging technologies, and providing technical expertise and guidance to the team.
Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Build, lead, and manage a team of network cabling technicians.
Provide mentorship, guidance, and technical support to team members.
Set performance goals, conduct regular performance evaluations, and provide feedback.
Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the team.
Project Management:
Bid, scope planning, execute, and monitor network infrastructure cabling projects from initiation to completion.
Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to gather project requirements.
Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies.
Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement appropriate mitigation measures.
Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
Technical Expertise:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to network infrastructure cabling.
Provide technical guidance and support to the team during project planning and execution.
Review project designs and provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure cabling solutions.
Conduct quality assurance checks to ensure adherence to industry standards and client specifications.
Client Relationship Management:
Interact with clients to understand their network infrastructure cabling requirements.
Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring their satisfaction with project deliverables.
Collaborate with sales and business development teams to identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities.
Address client concerns, resolve issues, and manage client expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
Process Improvement:
Continuously assess and improve internal processes and workflows for network infrastructure cabling projects.
Identify opportunities to streamline operations, increase efficiency, and enhance service delivery.
Develop and implement standardized procedures, templates, and documentation for project execution.
Monitor key performance indicators and metrics to measure and improve team performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Information Technology, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent experience is preferred
Proven experience in managing network infrastructure cabling projects, preferably in a leadership role.
Strong technical knowledge of network infrastructure cabling systems, including copper and fiber optic cabling, connectors, and related hardware.
Familiarity with industry standards and best practices, such as ANSI/TIA-568, ISO/IEC 11801, and BICSI guidelines.
Project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and monitor projects effectively.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
Certifications such as RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) or CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) are preferred.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year

Education:
Experience:
- Structured Cabling: 10 years (Preferred)
- Cabling Project Management: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Required)
