Our client hospital a well-established and rapidly growing healthcare system in Washington, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Director of ICU to join their team. This is an exceptional opportunity to lead the Critical Care department at a facility deeply connected to its community and committed to providing holistic, patient-centered care. As the Director of ICU lead the Cath Labs, ICU, and PCU.

Key Responsibilities:
- Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management: Develop and manage departmental operational and capital budgets. Monitor and control operations within approved budgets, making recommendations to optimize FTEs and minimize contract/agency labor usage. Ensure accurate patient charges and maintain supply usage within budgetary limits.
- Patient, Family, and Customer Satisfaction: Monitor and improve customer satisfaction scores. Collaborate with staff and physicians to enhance patient care and develop strategies to increase patient volumes and services.
- Physician Satisfaction: Work closely with physicians to streamline operations, improve patient care, and resolve conflicts. Actively engage in strategies to boost physician satisfaction.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with DOH, Joint Commission, CMS, and national patient safety standards. Maintain up-to-date policies and procedures, and oversee quality assurance and staff evaluations.
- Quality Patient Care: Set and implement departmental goals to improve patient care delivery and outcomes. Ensure compliance with national/state patient care programs and safety goals.
- Staff Morale and Retention: Foster positive relationships between staff, physicians, and departments. Provide ongoing feedback, conduct staff evaluations, and coordinate orientation and competency assessments for all staff.
- Patient Throughput and Capacity: Collaborate to optimize patient flow through the department and organization, implementing strategies to increase throughput and capacity.
Qualifications:
Required Experience:
- 2-3 years of leadership experience as a Manager or above, particularly in a Cath Lab setting.
- BSN required.
- Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree preferred.
