We are looking for a full time REMOTE Inpatient Coding Specialist (junior and senior level). MUST LIVE IN THE STATE OF FLORIDA. Will be a 6 month contract to hire, intending to convert to full time employment after 6 months on W2 contract. Must hold an active CPC (Certified Professional Coder), as well as 3+ years of HCC/risk adjustment coding experience.
Job Summary:
- Insight Global is looking for a detail-oriented medical coding candidate with 2-5+ year of coding experience to be a coder at a healthcare system in Florida. This candidate will apply the correct codes to patient charts for data collection, analysis, and claims processing. This candidate needs to maintain an information retrieval accuracy ratio of 97% and meet the quality assurance rate of 95%.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must reside in Florida
- Must hold an active CPC (Certified Professional Coder) certification through AAPC or AHIMA
- Minimum of 2-5 years of INPATIENT coding in: Hospital, Urgent Care, ECC (Extended Congregate Care), or Acute care
- CPT coding experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to maintain over 95% Quality Assurance (QA) accuracy rate at all times
- Strong understanding of ICD-9/10 and CPT codes
