Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the company's financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Lead the annual budgeting process, working closely with department heads to develop accurate and realistic budgets
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets and provide variance analysis and explanations
- Reconciling bank transactions to accounting system daily
- Manage deposits
- Manage payments to vendors
- Provide weekly business snapshot to upper management
- Prepare and enter journal entries as needed
- Review and reconcile credit card transactions, verifying accurate GL coding and documentation
Skills & Qualifications:
- 8-10 years of progressive experience in accounting and financial management roles, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership position
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning
- Proficiency in using accounting software and ERP systems
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Work Schedule: Monday - Thursday 6:30am to 5:00pm
Education/Certifications:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- CPA or CMA designation is preferred
