Position: HVAC Technician
Location: Austin, Texas
Duration: Direct hire
Salary: $35-45 hourly
Shift: Monday-Friday, 8-5, some projects may require on call hours

Job Description:
Insight Global is hiring for a Journeyman HVAC Service Technician to work for a leading mechanical construction company in Austin Texas. On a daily basis they will complete service contracts, quoted projects and demand service calls as directed. They will develop long-term relationships with customers and explain work performed to the customer's satisfaction. Additionally, this technician will be responsible for diagnosing HVAC system performance through observation, testing and setup as required by trade/position and type/size of equipment.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Journeyman license OR 5+ years of experience of servicing HVAC Systems.
- High School Diploma/GED; Technical degree is preferred.
- Advanced HVAC Unitary and Pumps and Piping Systems skills.
- Knowledgeable in HVAC airside skills, specifically VFD theory and Air Handler theory.
- Advanced knowledge of service processes, techniques, codes, and brand specific controls.
- Willing and able to join local 286 union
