Job Description:
Ownership of the real estate construction draw process, from draw request to disbursement of funds.
Position Summary:
Stallion Funding is looking for a Construction Draw Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate is organized and detail-orientated with construction draw process experience and is customer centric with excellent communication skills and persistence in follow-up. Prior real estate or lending experience is not required but highly preferred. Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To:
- Manage the construction budgets for the Borrowers. Full responsibility of budgets in the accounting system, including onboarding and status of construction projects
- Process weekly construction draw requests
- Communicate with Borrowers to guarantee timely processing of draw requests
- Ensure draw support information is collected and properly saved to loan files
- Order funding and inspections related to draw requests
- Review inspection results, recommend disbursements, and process approved payments (wires and checks)
- Issue updated construction budgets to borrowers following each draw
- Maintain the relationships with the inspection companies
- Continuously review and develop the existing construction draw process to mitigate risk and proactively enhance customer experience
- Support Loan Servicing department tasks and customer support
- Assist with special projects as needed
- This job requires attendance at the office to perform all job duties. This position works in line with the hours of operation for the office of 8:30am – 5:00pm, Monday – Friday. Occasional night and weekend work may be required.
Characteristics of Ideal Candidate:
- Accounting and or accounts payable experience; strong financial acumen preferred
- Bilingual – Spanish/English strongly preferred
- Attention to detail and persistence in follow-up
- Energized by multi-tasking and capable of prioritizing multiple tasks with ease
- Comfortable with communicating via phone and email in a professional setting
- Coachable and Flexible
- Collaborative
- Self-starter. This position will not be micro-managed
- Office administration experience strongly preferred
- Proficient Excel skills
