Role: Apache Solr Admin
Locations: Sunnyvale, Austin, Raleigh, Culver City (Hybrid)
Job Summary –
We are looking for an Apache Solr Admin professional for your Project.
Years of experience needed –
- 5 to 10 years of experience on Apache Solr with knowledge on Kubernetes and cloud technology
- Proven experience in designing and developing search solutions using Apache SOLR in the last 3 to 4 years
Key Skills:
- Apache Solr: Cluster management, performance tuning
- AWS: Infrastructure management and optimization
- Python, Kubernetes: Automation, scaling, monitoring
Technical Skills:
- Solid understanding of search engine technologies, search algorithms, and data structures
- Experience with indexing, querying, and analyzing large volumes of structured and unstructured data. Familiarity with search relevance models and ranking techniques
- Experience maintaining and designing applications on AWS
- Experience with building efficient distributed, scalable, high quality software services, microservices
- Big Data Technologies – Apache Lucene/Solr, Sys admin, AWS
- Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with database technologies and SQL
- Experience in Agile methodologies, and CI/CD DevOps tools (Jenkins / GitHub Actions, GitHub Co-pilot etc.)
- Develop and maintain advanced query rewriting functionality.
- Write automated unit test cases for Solr search engine.
- Design, develop, review & test Solr search engine in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- In-depth understanding of SOLR, Elasticsearch, and Lucene
- Proficient in Java, JVM tuning, and debugging.
- Good knowledge of automation and tooling using Python or Java
- Understanding of Linux for debugging tools and performance tuning
- Knowledge of containers such as Kubernetes or Docker is a plus
- Familiarity with cloud technologies such as AWS and Azure
- Strong analytical and interpersonal skills
Certifications Needed:
- Good to have certificates relevant to Apache Solr
