This is an amazing opportunity for a Software Infrastructure Engineer to join a rapidly expanding tech company specializing in home energy services with their innovative approach to house-hold distributed battery storage. As renewable energy grows, traditional grids are becoming less reliable and more expensive. My client offer a smarter solution—an all-in-one home battery system that reduces outages, balances energy costs, and provides reliable backup power.
My clients service is the only one of its kind in Texas, offering a home battery, monthly energy plan, and installation, without the need for solar panels. Customers save money as the battery charges when energy is cheap and discharges when prices rise. They are a Series A company receiving $70 million in their first funding round.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 4+ years of experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Google Cloud, or Microsoft Azure.
- Strong understanding of infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform, CloudFormation, or Ansible.
- Proficiency in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Solid knowledge of Linux/Unix-based systems and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash).
Primary Duties:
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud-based infrastructure to support scalable applications.
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines to automate deployments and monitor infrastructure performance.
- Monitor and troubleshoot infrastructure performance, ensuring high availability and disaster recovery.
- Implement security best practices across the infrastructure, including firewalls, VPNs, and IAM policies.
- Collaborate with software engineers to ensure smooth integration of infrastructure with application code.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with serverless architectures (e.g., AWS Lambda, Google Cloud Functions).
- Knowledge of multi-cloud environments and hybrid cloud strategies.
- Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and ELK Stack.
- Certification in AWS, Google Cloud, or Azure (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect).
- Hands-on experience with distributed databases (e.g., Cassandra, MongoDB) or big data technologies.
